Autumn 2017, 2-week sprint: Team of 4 people / Aalto University

Overview

Suunto asked us to redesign an interval training feature for their Spartan sports watch, specifically targeting experience-seeking athletes.

Working within a two-week design sprint, we conducted background research, benchmarking, and nine user interviews to understand the target group’s needs and behaviours.

Process & outcome

Based on our research, we defined guiding design principles, created key user scenarios, and developed UX wireframes and an interactive prototype. The work was iterative and tightly focused, given the short timeframe.

Suunto was pleased with the results, noting that our findings closely aligned with their own internal insights — demonstrating our ability to deliver research-informed UX under time pressure.
